This edition of Water Talks on April 13, we welcomed Steven Poe, PE, Water Master Planner from Virginia Beach Public Utilities.

We connect with Virginia Beach Public Utilities to review their development of a risk assessment simulation model (RASM). This model quantified risks, associated with temporary (or permanent) shutdowns of existing water facilities, including water mains, pump stations, and tanks.

Watch and listen to hear a high level overview of model development, along with a case-study demonstrating how the Public Utilities and Fire Departments used the RASM in identifying and alleviating risk due to water facility shutdowns.
