Water quality models have played an essential role in the evolution of wastewater and stormwater programs. This modeling is often performed in a specialized software package based on input from a traditional hydraulic model. The same capability for modeling receiving stream water quality has existed in InfoWorks ICM since its inception. Still, it has not been frequently utilized in place of specialized water quality models.
From Black and Veatch, Chris Ranck joins Water Talks to provide real-world examples of successful water quality modeling for bacteria and dissolved oxygen within ICM. The dissolved oxygen examples include the effects of nitrogen, phosphorus, and algae.
