New features in MicroDrainage simplify manholes, parts mapping and surface flooding

Innovyze, the global leader in water infrastructure data analytics software, has released version 2019.1 of the UK and Ireland’s leading drainage design software package, MicroDrainage.

Who it's For

MicroDrainage is advanced drainage design software that optimises the performance and effectiveness of drainage systems, including SuDS – both greenfield and retrofit. It's used by small consultancies up to large engineering firms, local authorities, and others, to design, size, and test drainage networks, making the whole process straightforward.

What's New in MicroDrainage 2019.1

With the top three new features:

  • Users can record and validate manhole offsets within MicroDrainage – no need for rework in a CAD package or annotations to previous outputs
  • Users of the DrawNet(CAD) module in Autodesk Civil3D can create MicroDrainage models from any Civil3D network using the Parts Mapping Manager. This saves time in the design process and provides more detail
  • Users of FloodFlow, a 2D analysis module in MicroDrainage, get a closer solution to Shallow Water Equations (SWE) under most surface water flooding conditions, and improved resolution with grid cell sizes down to 0.25m – so they can see which lanes of a road would be affected
