Demand Analysis & Service Level Simulations
Designed to introduce some of the advanced functions available to InfoWorks WS Pro users, the topics available explore the wider capabilities of the software. The course is suitable for those with a good working knowledge of InfoWorks WS Pro or those that have attended the introductory course.
The courses combine tutorials and training notes with hands-on exercises and tutor-led worked examples. The topics covered are set. If you would like to request a customised course, then please contact us directly.
The courses will be conducted using WebEx/GoToTraining software, which allows two way communication between the instructor and the class.
To participate you will need two screens, one to run the software and the other to watch the presenter or their screen. A headset with microphone would also be very useful.
You will operate the software using a ‘virtual’ computer which we will provide and which you can access from your computer, whether from home or in the office. We will provide you with login details a day or so before the course starts. This virtual machine includes the software and data required to run the course. In other words, there is no need for you to install the software on your computer, to participate in the training.
Training notes will be posted to you in advance of the training.

Demand Area Analysis – Learn to use this tool to automatically calculate unprofiled demand and estimate leakage on a DMA level.
Pressure related demand – This topic covers the background of Pressure related demand, creation of custom curves & how to use the simulation type in InfoWorks.
Draindown & Recharge – Additional simulation options that can be used in parallel with all simulation types. A brief explanation and examples.
Critical Link Analysis & Shutdown runs – Utilise tools from the course so far and learn how to use these simulation types to assess the impact of pipe closures, isolations & bursts on a distribution network.
