This 2-day course is the starting point for anyone needing to utilize InfoAsset Planner for water or wastewater asset performance modeling. Upon completion of this course participants will be able to use InfoAsset Planner to effectively import, manage and organize asset databases in a GIS environment. Students will also be able to assess survey data, utilize capital improvement planning tools, log incidents, and create and distribute work orders.

Participants are guided through a series of practicals by computer hands-on training.
A basic understanding of computers is required. Some familiarity with GIS and Microsoft Office programs would be advantageous although not essential. Understanding of sewer and water networks would also be helpful although not a requirement.
The InfoAsset Planner Project – Creating a system database and a project database which makes up the InfoAsset Planner Project. Opening and logging into an existing project and exploring the InfoAsset Planner interface.
Importing and Editing External Data – Importing facility and CCTV data as well as using the CCTV Analysis Wizard tool. Complete review of all the tools for adding and editing data in the variety of data editing views available in InfoAsset Planner. Associating and accessing external image and video files with InfoAsset Planner Network Objects.
Inferring and Validating Data – Using InfoAsset Planner’s inference tools for populating missing values. Utilizing powerful validating tools for QA/QC.
InfoAsset Planner Tools – Creating Consequences and Likelihoods of Failure to generate risk analysis results. Employing the Work Manager to edit and manage work order and service request data. Using CCTV, CMMS, and Risk results to generate a rehabilitation plan and cost analysis. Creating deterioration models such as the Cohort Model and the Regression Analysis.
